Meet the Staff
Nancy Barr
Nancy came to Washington, DC to study dental assisting in 1972. She has worked with Dr. Cobb since he graduated from dental school in 1984. Nancy played many roles in the early days of Dr. Cobb's practice, assisting with patients as well as handling the front office and lab work. As the practice has grown, Nancy has assumed the role of office manager. In addition, she continues to assist with patients, performs most lab work and manages Dr. Cobb's busy teaching schedule.
An avid Petanque player, Nancy has traveled and participated in tournaments. She also enjoys visiting her niece and her husband and their two daughters in California.
Patricia Szubielski
Pat has been with Dr. Cobb for over 15 years. A valuable member of the practice, Pat has worked in various capacities; at the front desk greeting patients and caring for patients treatment scheduling, financial matters and phone queries.
Pat enjoys cooking, reading, walking and traveling to California to dote on her two granddaughters. You may be surprised the first time you see Pat and Nancy together, yes they're sisters - but no they're not twins.
Sandra Rach
Sandra Rach is a graduate of the University of Maryland Dental School in Baltimore with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. She has enjoyed working with Dr. Cobb for over 16 years.
Sandra and her husband live in Severna Park, Maryland along with their two daughters, son, golden retriever and bunny. The family enjoys boating and is very actively involved in swim team, ice hockey and youth theater.
Pamela Oginz
Pam graduated from the University of Bridgeport's Fones School of Dental Hygiene, the world's first school for dental hygiene. Pam's career spans numerous dental specialties including general practice, cosmetic and restorative dentistry and periodontics. Like Dr. Cobb, Pam believes in the importance of continuing education to enhance and expand knowledge of the most current technologies.
Pam recently joined Dr. Cobb in the Dominican Republic on medical/dental mission, Somos Amigos, volunteering a week of her time to under privileged individuals and giving hem free dental care.
Pam is proud of her three grown daughters, a son in law, and a grandson. An adventurer, Pam enjoys travel especially where she can incorporate dental hygiene lesson sin the local community.
Ina Hersh
Ina Hersh is a native Washingtonian. A dental hygienist with a degree from the University of Maryland Dental School, Ina has been practicing since 1984. She has worked with Dr. Cobb for more than seven years.
Ina and her husband reside in Columbia, Maryland with their son, daughter and yellow lab, Cleo. She enjoys traveling, reading, movies and running.
Sandra Lobo
Sandra Lobo was born and raised in El Salvador and came to the United States when she was 20 years old. In 1998, Sandra became a Certified Dental Assistant and successfully completed a board approved radiology course for dental assistants. She has worked with Dr. Cobb since 2006. Working with Dr. Cobb, she says, has taught her a lot and improved her skills.
While she finds her work very enjoyable, she cherishes time spent with her husband and daughter. She also enjoys gardening, exercising, and bike riding.
Estrellita Achacoso
Estrellita, fondly known as 'Ning', is the newest member to our team. She is a Certified Dental Assistant. Born and raised in the Philippines, Ning earned her Associates Degree and Dental Degree from Centro Escolar University in Manila, Phillippines. Since she moved here to the United States, she has worked in dental offices in Washington, DC and California.
Ning is proud and happy to be part of Dr. Andrew Cobb's outstanding team. She enjoys her role in the office as clinical assistant and her extensive knowledge in dentistry is being put to good use.
